This one was a Craigslist find. Price was okay.

Sure seems to me that Peavey was really cutting corners in the last days of US production.

Single ply pickguard, cheaper feeling tuners and no truss rod cover.

Still, it feels good and it sounds good.

Patriots have just been discovered. Unlike Foundations they were rarely gigged.

I have a trading pal (we borrow gear all the time) .. the ONLY bass he insists on getting back is the Bogart (eventually) .. the ONLY one that he will not return is a Patriot.

He strung it with Smith Stainlesss XLights.. it plays like some of my $$$$$$$ basses.

I do say this with all sincerity.. prices are shooting up (good ones have just about doubled in the last year).... there was a time I could buy TLs all day long for $225.. and Milleniums for less... I used to buy Foundations for $75.... folks would laugh as they took $50 for a Fury

Folks are now collecting and hanging onto the USA basses.

They're cool.. if you get a chance to play a modulus flea, they're within the same vibe.

They're much better with a millenium upgrade.

After owning Gs and Quads.. I'd suggest holding out for a non mollested Bquad...

Bquad may be the best production bass put out -- it's not really a fair suggestion when they're obscure

Rules say, "No pix, no bass," so here's the newest Fury. Tried out a new camera. Think I'll go back to the other one. Can't get the real in-your-face red to show properly.

Is $50 a good price for a set of the heavy duty tuners used on the late 70s early 80s usa peaveys? They're either grovers or schallers from what I can see, the tuners on my T-40 were the best I've ever used, and I'd like to use them whenever possible. Found a set, but unsure whats a good price for hardware nowadays.

I paid $75 for a set of Hipshot Ultralights used. I don't think $50 is too bad (just over $12 per tuner) for a really good set. I'd want to be certain this includes the neck ferrules too.

The early machines are certainly better, if my new late model Fury is any example.
