Correct. Flame maple top, blue, maple board, black Hipshot hardware with D Tuner.
So I have been playing my RJ-IV almost 90% of the time, alternating with the Fury and the Patriot (ok, I have to post photos of the refinish).
Turns out I don't play the Fender Jazz anymore. I tried it yesterday.... don't like it anymore.
Geee, what am I to do? I have a total of $900 in it, which includes a refret, new electronics, new pickups (SD Hot Stack Jazz), new hardware and of course 3rd or 4th set of strings.
How long will it take me to realize I have to sell it? I am still attached to it but my rule is: if I don't play it, I sell it.

I want to know what the street price was on the 4 and 5 string Dyna Bass during the 80's-early 90's. Let's keep in mind that the introductory (1985) store prices may have been higher than the last year of production in the '90s...

Street price.. $450-750.. sometimes less or more.. question is way too wide to give any useful info.

My dad bought a 4 string Dyna brand new in 85 for $850, but I think he got the guy to throw in the case. That bass was sadly stolen from me a few years ago. I finally bought another one a few weeks ago on ebay for $250...crazy. The thing is every bit as amazing as my old man's.
As a reference point.. I paid $225 for my custom order Mahogany/Rosewood Foundation in 1988.
When I got my Axcelerator 6 I also had a very nice USA Jazz V. I didn't know whether I'd like the Axcelerator 6 or not when I got it, though I knew it was a quality bass. I ended up never playing the Jazz V again and sold it after about 8 months. Nothing wrong with it, the PV just spoke to me.
I believe that I paid $650 for my Dyna-5 in 1988/9. List price was $950 and it was a year or so old NOS.
As already described, there were a wide variety of models carrying the "Dyna-Bass" name, with a wide variance of prices. The Koa neck-through "Unity Series" ones were the most expensive.
They even made a few RJ-IVs this way.
Ok, I have to take a photo of the family this week-end.
4 Peaveys, 4 Peavey US.
And a Japanese-made Jazz which looks less and less attractive to me.
Maybe because the unity neck is just so good...
By the way when I talked to Peavey, they told me they had no real idea what pre-amp could be used in the RJ-IV. They also refuse to release any "proprietary" information on production numbers.
I am left to imagine there are a few thousands of them, but not too many.

Pricing was ALL OVER the place.. it was rumoured the list price was 3x dealer cost.
I used to get some killer deals on new gear as a teenager.
I can look back to what my Dyna LTD Unity 5 cost.. I do remember it taking a long time to get delivery... for some reason I remember $675.

Sounds like untamed pricing for sure!
Evidently, some Dyna's sold for around the price of Fender P or Jazz MIA basses...

My pricing may not help you much as a dealer called wanting prepayment for my bass -- if I remember they needed additional sales for something... who knows they may have sold for more.

The irony is that Peavey pricing for the late 80's, early 90's seems elusive considering that many of us had Internet (and were registered on forums) within a relatively short time-less than 10 years. Catalogs from that era might be helpful except for the gap between cost for the retailer and MSRP. Historical prices paid for items is a recurring forum topic.
I can recall the prices that I paid for some of my name brand (non-music) gear in the late 70's, and hoped that a few might recall Dyna prices paid. Innocent question.
