That's what playing with pick will do. I have the same on my Dyna although not as severe.
If they were rounds I would guess Ken Smith Burners but flats....you have me stumped.

That is exactly what it says on the headstock. I enlarged one of the photos and that is what it says "Unity Series".
I would love to own this bass....but almost never play 4 string basses and already own a near mint Forum passive P/J that plays like a dream and sounds fantastic.

Dynabass/Unity Series are active.
Plain old Unity basses are always passive. They got a "Best Bass" award from one of the magazines.
Can't have have been a magazine sold in the UK, friend of mine has been trying/failing to sell his black Unity for the last 2 years

WOW !!!! This is why Peavey was the BEST !! Koa top, purple heart stringers on a production bass that's not only killer, but affordable ?
I have still NEVER seen a Peavey Dyna with a stock tremelo. They must be SOOOO incredibly rare. I'd LOVE to know if any of you have seen one ?

More than a few passed on Reverb (mostly red ones, who knows...)

It's a high pass filter of sorts, rolling off some low end. It's a fixed version of the bass cut knob found on G&L, Reverends, etc...
Depends on the value of the cap. Can you see what is printed on it in the original post?
