Gotoh: Similar in what sense? It is a bridge. It does not have the same screw pattern of the Patriot or Fury (most series). It has the 5 in line screw pattern (Fender).
Microtilt: GV is not laminated (in a traditional sense) as it has a wooden core, and a graphite wrapper. It has the usual "metal button" for the tilt to press against. We can debate if the tilt is a dangerous tool, or a perfectly fine alternative, but if the attack angle of the neck and body is not correct it has to be fixed (one way or another).

If you have access to tools such as a feeler gauge you can measure it, and determine "how" minimal it is.
For a 35" scale instrument, depending on how you play, you can probably get away with anything between 0.008" and 0.014".
If the saddles are bottomed out, and the action is still too high, you need to change the attack angle of the neck and the body. You can do that with the microtilt, or with shims. But as the bass is equipped with microtilt I don't see a reason for not using it.
A good rule of thumb is that if you place a (very long) straightedge (that acts as an ideal string) on the neck it should just touch the saddle at its lowest position. This will guarantee that you have plenty of range of adjustability for action.

Yeah, the neck needs some some extra tilt angle to get the action more consistent up and down the neck.
What I like to do in micro tilt situations is to use it to find the neck angle that gets a good action and the saddles are not bottomed out. I then remove the neck and measure whether the tilt screw is getting more than a couple mm of excursion. If so, I then make a couple shims, one of the same thickness as the protruding tilt screw for the heel location the other about half as thick, which goes closer to the middle of the pocket. This way, the neck pocket has more connection and the tilt screw is not doing the heavy lifting. This process takes a little experimentation, but it works great for me.

Any chance you would know where I could find a real Truss Rod Cover for my Palaedium?

If not, if you have one could you take a picture and provide some dimensions so that maybe I could get one made somewhere.

I’ve seen a few eBay sellers that have TRC for various guitars/basses and maybe if I had enough information they could make one that’s close to original.

Please get back to me when you have time.

I don't know if they have one that fits the Palaedium but you could try Frets On The Net Home - they can create a lot of different Peavey parts.

I saw the price drop to the realm of reasonable. However, it's still 4 strings with gold hardware. That's a no-go here. Had it been black with black hardware, I might have bit, just to have a bass with a trem. Seems like it would be a riot! I have had Kahlers, Floyds, Pro Rock'r and Edge trems on my guitars.

That Kahler bridge in your link is the one! Kahlers have a very unique rout pocket for install.
