U.S. Peavey Club

While scouring the net for a Fretless Cirrus 5, I ran upon a very cool Fury on Sweetwater's used site! Never seen one like it....and Yes, its all I can do to NOT pull the trigger on that bad boy ;)

Maybe it's a blurry pic/optical illusion, but those are the fattest and flattest frets I've ever seen. :wideyed:

As usual reading TB forums and asking questions is a problem *** for my wife. :)
I wanted a p bass with a j neck, not to expensive but with a good sound.

My fellow TB'er pointed to Peavey Fury. Combing local ads I found 2. I made an offer on a black Fury and didnt get a response. I met with the first owner of the white bass and picked it up with a Peavey Basic 112 amp for $100, it has some fine line cracking in the finish, but sounds great. ( See orginal post).

The black bass was listed for $325, I had offered $250. A day after buying the white bass I get a pm if you pick it up today you can have it for $125!

The black bass has a few dings that fingernail polish will take care of. It also sound very good as is. Maybe a new pickguard in black or tort? I think it will become my test bed for Klein's P pickup with new pots and cap?

Thanks to all for steering me to Peaveys. No more bases for awhile***unless there is another model that pops up.

Can I join the Club now?

I've always wanted a bass tremlo, I almost bought the Hipshot version.
Yeah, I saw that a while back and thought if it was the old days and it was $300 I'd buy it just to own, but in reality I could never see playing it. That's just ME.

Congratulations. I love my Fury. This is one of those "flew under the radar" basses. An American made Pbass for a couple hundred bucks, quid, Euros, whatever is a heck of a lot of bass.

Nice on the white Fury as I have one as well.

I just picked this Dyna 5 up in Reverb from a guy in Toledo Ohio. I was hoping it might be one of you, but in any case, I was looking for a decent 5 that wouldn’t break the bank. I hear these can be really good.
