Hi....looking at a Peavey Milestone 11, International Series to buy. What year(s) were they made, or how can I find out. Don't have any serial number yet and not sure if I will get one. Thanks..
Guitar Center used has a good number of USA made Peavey basses for sale all the time.
They charge $20 to ship them to you and have a 45 day return policy.
Find one you like and ask here about your choice and you will get help.
Pretty sure they are post '94. The "International" Peaveys started hitting the catalogs around that time.
Look for a 80s/90s era Fury. A lot of US made bass for $300ish.
Milestone I was 1994. Milestone II appeared in 1995. Milestone III and IV were 1999 with Milestone 5 appearing in 2001.
I did some of my best recordings on an early Milestone.
Overall, it seems that the earliest international instruments were made, they were the best. As time continued the hardware and electronics down graded.

So this is a pretty specific question about one of the more overlooked Peavey basses... Does anyone know if the pickups they used in the passive B-Ninety were used in any other models? The ones in mine were alnico pickups that were hot glued into their covers and supported with springs. I just really adore the B-Ninety pickups, but looking for spares specifically of the passive version seems like a losing proposition.
I have one that had active pickups. The P pup took a dive, my tech couldn't track down where the problem was. I yanked 'em and dropped the Geezers in there.
Good luck on your quest, in the searching I've done it seems like your assessment is correct; finding spares might be tough - but you never know!
AFAIK passive B-90 was the only Peavey with alnico pickups.
Except for the B-90, none of mine had alnico. Mind you I never bagged a Forum PJ to complete the Peavey bass family, perhaps they got them; Blue Book lists them as ceramic but it could be wrong.
I have a passive Forum P/J. The pickups may be alnico because it is a wonderful sounding bass. The J is a side by side humbucker.
I don't recall seeing a post with Patriots of those colors.
In order to make my indecision even worse, I'm wondering if anyone here has a couple Super Ferrites they'd sell. They don't need to be opposite polarity, as they'd have individual outputs.
The only ones that came to mind for me were the forum (although I think Fury’s of the era were ceramic) and then the unity pj’s

Just to be certain, that is for the passive P/J? I think the active one is called Forum Plus IIRC.
I've owned two of Fender's Hot Rod Precision which is their equivalent of the passive P/J Forum. The Peavey sounds much better IMO. The Fender Hot Rod P was a very nice bass though and I liked them a lot. I've owned a lot of Fender basses and the best of the lot were the Hot Rod P's, Roscoe Beck IV and V and the American Standard Precision V. Now I own no Fender basses.
Just saw this on Marketplace. Doesn't look to be in too bad of shape.
