Now THAT is cool and a STEAL !! Peavey USA was ALWAYS ahead of the game and strove for being the best, not number 2. (Oh I walked into that one !)
It looks like Mike Pope knobs, or since those were popular at the time maybe it was going for a Fodera look ? so I'm super curious what's the preamp.

EDIT : I'm sure those are Millennium pickups, so it's probably a new design that's a mix between a Dyna / Cirrus bass preamp, and maybe traditional VVT in ? I'm sure the small knobs are the EQ. The big ones are volume, blend, and what are the other two ?

Good thing it's pick up only or I'd consider buying another bass I DON'T NEED or can afford. I'm an addict. Peavey addict. I have no days clean.

The pickups are clearly labeled Bartolini... And it makes the usual "mistake" of saying that the neck is made by Modulus (which is not).
It does not have microtilt (why?)

I couldn't read it with my old eyes, but I thought they looked like Barts, but I thought why would they not just use VFL's ? I agree about the Modulus statement AND don't forget the "poor man's Ken Smith" reference, too regarding Cirrus.

Have you seen this Peavey G Bass (Unique Design) | Reverb ?

It also appears to have two output jacks. If that's the case, I wouldn't even need to mod this.

This looks like it had the two Jazz pickups and the normal four control knobs, and somebody added the MM pickup and the controls with the small knobs.
I bet the original G Bass active control circuit is not in this bass anymore.
And as we all know, Bell & Carlson did the neck...not Modulus.
Looks like a very cool bass at this point though, a lot of bass for that price.

No, but this guy's pickups look very interesting, could probably make some great sounding basses with them.
But if you like the sound of the original pickups (in this case a T40 pickup) then maybe could be disappointed with what he came up with.
He should add a bunch of sound clips to his site, I bet it would help sell a lot of pickups.

Yes, that's about right depending upon location. Most sales and shipping on reverb is from 75 to 100 and I have shipped and it has been close to 100. Things have changed and it is hard to see them going back to what it used to be.

...on all fronts. The days of $150 basses with $30 shipping was a golden era.

According to the seller the scale is "regular jazz bass". I am assuming that is 34". I thought G basses had 35".
