OTOH, some would say the hardware on the early Peavey's was at a higher level of quality.

The triangle-shaped tree was meant to compliment the Peavey brand logo, also found on the metal "P" knobs.

Back when Peavey designed all aspects on their instruments, down to the smallest detail, with virtually nothing "off the shelf"....

Well after a long road of buying, returning, and selling, I finally got the dream Rickenbacker and Peavey that I have been wanting to get.

I scored a USA Cirrus. It will be here Thursday. Very great deal and it has been described and pictured to be 'mint like'!
I'll put up pictures when it gets here.

I've got a sweet BXP Cirrus I'm looking to get rid of if anyone is interested. Gotta help pay for the USA and keep the wife smiling!

Hey everyone. I'd like to join the club, I just got a 1995 Peavey Fury, great bass. I really love the neck on it.

I'm trading a bass of mine for TB'er Killmeister's red T-40 pictured below:

It's got some nicks, dings, chips, etc. but he says it weighs in at around 10 lbs on the bathroom scale! This summer I'm going to refinish it a cream like the above Peavey and slap a tort guard on it!

They're flawless

Cool thing is they spotted a potential error on the order.

This is my favorite headstock design for sure... the black outline and classic peavey logo.

I've got to figure out-if a similar-sized 4x cab will fit in a late model, Honda Civic 4 door...

Staccato, I can get this cab in the backseat of an extended cab F-150. If you scoot the front seat all the way up, it might fit. Built the cab myself, loaded with Mesa speakers and my wife's cousin's husband handbuilt the crossover and tuned the cabinet. Biggest problem is I am using the Databass amp out of my old combo to power it. Sounds better than the combo, but really need something better to power it.

From my experience, red is the rarest factory color for a T-40.

Well, that settles it! I'll just replace the missing knobs, get new pickup rings ('cause these are worse for wear) and probably put either

an aged pearl pickguard

or a white pearl pickguard

Bufalo, it is the passive model, but I have put active EMG's and a stacked bass/treble pot in it. Would love to see pics of yours to compare. I'm wanting to black mine out, never been a fan of the gold and it is starting to really look worn.

EDIT: I took my Fury to a jam yesterday and oh my gosh did it sound fantastic. Had so much punch and growl and I had a bit of overdrive goin' on which just pushed the tone out of this world. I am in love, this bass has the sound and feel that I have been looking for, and it is the cheapest one I own.

Great looking bass- is that a new pickup, new pickup covers or stock? I have a 1993 in the same color, but the pickup and guard are black. The pickguard was (poorly) refinished in cream by the previous owner, so I'm going to mail it to Roger at Jeannie's tomorrow for a replacement.

I also bought a late 1996 "jazz-eared soapbar" Foundation to give me a neck for my 1992 or 93 Foundation body with real Ferrites. Will probably eBay the body, bridge, pups, and harness as one "put a neck on it and play" unit. The older Foundie body is about 1/3 of the way thru a refin and I'm shielding the Fury while waiting on the pg.

I'll post pics and ask for a number when they're both all done.
