Yes, thank you for the chronology. If someone knows where the Sarzos, B-Quads, RJ-IV, and 4, 5, and 6-string Axcelerators fit in, I would appreciate it. I have an Axcelerator from 1994, so I know Peavey introduced them at least that early.

The stuff you listed above is kind of like "3rd Generation"... mostly in the 90s
No doubt. Still, you can't find that information on the Internet--at least I can't--and I am curious.
If you can be specific I can probably help --- We've written well over 1000 postings on the topic of the Peavey Club.....

Unfortunately to get you some specific answers it requires photographs.. this shows more than a year or serial number... each of the premium basses had revisions.

The 10 years after this is where it gets kind of "murky" as the signature basses, low production ones etc are not well documented or known.
There was an early 90 explosion of high quality botique comparable gear
Trust me, I searched quite thoroughly here and via Google over the last month or so. If anyone can provide a link with this information, I would appreciate it.
Although I quoted you in my earlier reply, it was only to display the flow of conversation. I don't expect you (or anyone else in particular for that matter) to answer the question. Still, the answer to my query would look something like this:
199x
Axcelerator 4
199x+1
Axcelerator 5 and 6
199x+2
B-Quad
199x+3
Sarzo
etc.
In other words, to make a stab at filling in the "murky" models. Frankly, this would be an academic exercise. I am really unaffected regarding when anything was introduced. I am only curious.
I remember that ad in Bass Player with Rudy Sarzo, "The man behind the bass, the bass behind the man" and I think I stopped subscribing sometime around '92... so I'd think that bass had to be introduced before then.
The issue was that many of the models were "kind of" avaiable... some of the models were prototyped, photographed and only produced for customer orders -- stores didn't carry them.
There were probably 15 models that were vaguely available in the 90s.
Chances are the dowloadable PDF copyrights may give you some idea.

During this period they really didn't have "official" product launches... the accuracy of info would be questionable as things would be tested before a full push was on.

From nosing around on Peavey's website, I found a pdf of the owner's manual from the original Sarzo sig bass. On the last page, it says (c) 1989 so the Sarzo model was around from at least that year. Its possible the bass was introduced a year or 2 prior to that. My experience has been that when a company publishes a digital copy of an owner's manual from a discontinued product, they usually list the final version if there was more than one.

During this era, models were vague.. they'd customize just about anythying (within reason).
Going through an authorized vendor I remember sitting at the counter with the Meridian staff on the phone.. we'd talk through what I wanted,... I'd put a downpayment.. they'd then configure to the conversation.
I had VFLs way before the market did.

Bridge is a Gotoh, Tuners are Schaller M4S's. I did the research last night while I had it all apart... would be about $300 to buy all black hardware for it. Gulp. Turns out some Nevr-Dull polish turns most of the gold into chrome, which was better than what it was.
That's my Pentax K100 with a Pentax FA 50mm 1.4 lens on it. The lens is the magic, the camera (and the operator) is pretty average. Thanks! 
Looks much better, Bufalo. I think I am still going to black mine out, but I found a hipshot bridge that would work for $69 and tuners have been anywhere from $40-120 depending on what set I go with.
