U.S. Peavey Club

Shot in the dark, but does anyone have a grey-burst RJ-IV they’d be willing to sell? Yes, I saw the one on Reverb, but he’s looking for way too much.

Thanks

There's 2 RJs on reverb (one red) both for $1500 and both in carts! Wow! Sweet instruments, easily comparable to other $1500 active basses.

I do have a grey-burst in mint condition w/case, not sure what a fair price is...what do you think?

Wha'dja'git?

Hi Bleecker,
Man, sorry I missed your earlier post about yours possibly being available. Go figure.
Not finalized yet, but Thundar is considering letting go of the one he got last year. Used to be Mike's (mb94952) and went to jimmyb. Looks like it's in great shape.

If for some reason, it doesn't go through, I hope you don't mind if I reach out to you about yours.

Just out of curiosity, how do you RJIV owners like the dip switches set?

Oh my, this is one of the few that I wish I did not sell... once time is spent on the bridge, it's a stunning bass.

Dip switches... really depends on string, signal chain and attack.

Have the Peavey prices peaked?
I don't know if prices have peaked in the UK but interest remains low.

Heard from a fella I sold a T-40 to last month, was looking for advice since he planned on selling it and a Foundation.
Quick glance through my notes from the last few months revealed a 95 Forum made £150, a Foundation sold twice before it reached £137, another Foundation got £180, £200 Fury pulled from sale.

His £375 Foundation ad got zero replies, not even a "nice bass GLWTS". His T-40 brings the unsold number here up to 7. There's a £300 Unity ad been running 3 years, fretless Axcelerator 6 months and 2 T-45s also running at least 3 years now. 1 year and counting for a TL-5.

Positive signs are a TL-6 lasted 4 days and a redwood Cirrus 6 just hit eBay, opening bid £500.

Maybe the guy will work with you.

What would be a comparable bass for $500?
I agree, there's nothing comparable for 5 bills. I just feel like I can hold out and find something cheaper, although it probably won't be the sunburst. I'm eying one for $280 right now and the only thing holding me back is that it's red...lol. That plus I really need a new amp more at this point.
