OMG where did you score that? and local too?

i wonder if this is the one that made the rounds on the dayton & cols CL about a year ago ... last i heard it was in Washington Courthouse, and the guy that had it really didn't seem to want to do anything to sell ... was a right jerk about it.

Got it at Ace Music near downtown Dayton. It is in pristine condition, no scratches, no dings, just a little dusty. It almost looks like NOS

Congrats! You'll notice a difference between Super Ferrites & the VFL pickups. Let us know what you think after you've had some time for comparison.
Some people prefer one over the other...

OK then, thanks.

I was originally attracted to the Grind by its 35" scale, its affordability, its cool longhorn design, and its pickups. As I checked into it, I was also attracted by its obvious Cirrus bloodlines and its electronics. And then I saw the deal on ebay -- I got this one for around $230, plus shipping.

So, now that I already spent the money, did I get a good deal? Assume that my bass is Indonesian or Korean or whatever -- is the value there? Are there any notable inferiorities about basses made in those other countries that I should know about?

I've owned several of the BXP and Grinds. Much of what you'll hear us discuss is "country of origin and generation"

Before commenting if you have/good bad, this is a relevant discussion - yours has hints of being Indonesian. Country does matter as it gives generation hints of the quality control.

Your bass looks to be in good condition.... unfortunately without more info, we'd just be giving you average TB dribble about "I like my... " etc.

Is your bass active or passive?

Greetings all!

I picked up an '82 T-20 a couple of months ago and noticed that the the SF pickup is loose when I flip the bass topside down. If I shake the bass sideways, the pickup rattles.

Is this normal? Are there supposed to be springs on the screw shafts or something?
