You really know your basses. You're right about this bridge, I mean sustain for days.
The one thing I'm not use to yet is doing a setup. Waaaaay!!! different than my fenders.
You mostly move the neck, not the bridge, and I haven't figured out how to get this right yet.
I took it to a guy, who set it up to play smooth as butter, then I changed strings, and a slight buzz came back,
because of the low action. I really need to spend more time learning this one. As I said, Way different than fender.

I'll always love the Fury.
The previous owner of the Forum lightly sanded the neck, or maybe it's just a satin finish - it is smooth as silk. In someone else's hands it's probably what they call a "fast neck". It's well built (like all US Peavey's) and balances perfectly.

I am seeing one problem with the Forum, and it's a severe volume dropout once you roll off the neck pickup about 5%.
I need some time to sort out what's going on with it.
May be a capacitor issue - I don't know enough about the electronics to fully understand.

I'm going upstairs to play with it some more. I'll try have a better description of the problem.

OK, here's a better description of the symptom:
- Each pickup solo'd is fine - there is linear volume from 0-10 from both pickups
-With both pickups on 10, there is no problem
THE PROBLEM:
-With both pickups on full, if I roll off the neck (even slightly), there is severe volume drop. If I take the P down to 0 and start to roll back on (with the Jazz still on full), there is slight audio gain starting at about 10%, however, it stays at that level until I roll on full to 100%.
- This dropoff DOES NOT happen with both pickups on full and I start to roll off the Jazz. In fact, the overall volume INCREASES when I'm on Full/Full and I roll off the Jazz pickup about 10-20%

That Royal Blue (or whatever Peavey calls it) Fury is just gorgeous.
There was someone on TB who had the same color Axcelerator FL - I love that color.

That Surf Patriot is also real nice...I can see how it might take a while to adjust to it, but it's killer.
