Took it to a rehearsal last nite and had fun using the mid sweep for some quick tone shaping. It makes it easy to go from a scooped mid to fingerstyle on the fly.
I also put a set of TI rounds after just to see if i like that warmer nickle sound. It was sounding very nice with what I'm sure we're DR's that we're on it.

Hey guys
Might be the wrong place to ask (if you can point me in the right place that would be cool) but it might be so here goes
I was about to drop for a nice Peavey Bromberg B-Quad four here in the UK but after a bit of pre sale testing the seller has told me that it's having a bit of a random drop out after longer periods of play,Im just wondering if anyone here with a B-quad has come across such a problem in the pass?
He's told me that a local Luthier has taken a look at it and at first thought it was a problem with a dry joint out the output jack but since he's been testing it over the last day or 2 he thinks it might be a problem with the main PCB or some issue with the earthing
If anyone can shed any light on this id be very greatful,either with what you think might be the cause/fix or any idea what it might cost to get fixed
Hope you can help and again sorry if this is the wrong place to ask

Fading? Could be battery.
A solderless connection could do the same thing.
Puzzling if it frazzles out.
OPINIOIN.. Offer to take it to be fixed.. if it's the PC board... pass.
Cool bass... not if it needs a board
IT will run without piezos.
All output drops out? Or only 1 or both of the VFL pickups? Only the piezos?
Is the seller SURE it's a problem with the bass and not his rig/cable? Did the luthier actually reproduce the problem, or just speculate based on the reported symptoms?

I'm not the best at electronics (only swap out stuff).
I am aware that the pcboard is not supported..I do know where there is a 4 string board.

I Will ask for a little more detail but from the info i got sofar it only seems to be effecting the mag pups,he reports that he's Luthier has replaced the battery harness and checked the local joints for dryness,but on checking tonights email he seems to think its an earthing problem resulting in a fast drain on one of the batteries this i guess is causing the output to drop?
This bass is'nt local to me so no way i can pick it up to check with my own gear or get my own local guy to check it out,I tried support peavey's email but just got a canned response to contact a local UK dealer....

Thought as much i was just wondering if they might carry any PCB layouts or have any trouble shooting logs from pass repairs that might help....also you never know whens laying around in dark corner of warehouse a bit to much to hope for i guess

There was a thread going in the Amps subforum. JimmyM apparently got banned for a month. I don't know why as discussing that stuff is against the rules.
