ahh ok, thanks. i will definitely keep an eye out for that!
BTW i noticed that the bass is VERY quiet through the amp. (its not the amp or cable, i checked with my other bass) and its seems to be slightly cutting in and out, kind of an intermittent signal. what should i check? input jack?
it make my 450watt amp sound like a 10watt.

Look what just arrived at my door step last night.
Peavey Dyna Unity factory fretless. This is my first Peavey and was amazed on how light she is. She will need a good cleaning and a tune up but I’m sill going to take her out tonight.
Number please.

Google tells me that there is a very beautiful TL-5 at auction on the 'bay for a dear price..... It does look very pretty and is touted as near mint.... I don't know if'n its Gen 1 or 2 or.. X

I can tell you that you will like it. Always wanted a fretted version but never found one when I had $$.

On the control pocket cover there's a hole for a screw driver adjust pot that sets the balance between active and passive. When you figure out the active setting you like, use it to set the level where you can use it for an easy voicing change. Alkaline battery should last 80 to 100 hours if you unplug it when not in use.

LOL! Thanks for the heads-up! I had seen that one already. It's a beautiful bass but it's a 2nd gen. I prefer 1st gens.

Question:
"What Modulus neck is like a BQuad... what profile is a GV/GBass"


ANSWER:
Thanks for writing... It's rumoured that some GV and GBass may have not been made by Modulus... possibly a german manufacture as they're using a more expensive procedure of mat glass vs chopper gun. To the best of my knowledge the GBass was copped from a wood peavey -- not a modulus profile.

Regarding the BQuad neck profile... the closest I've found is a Flea (aka funk unlimited)... the neck is not the same as Quantum....

NOTE--- there "could" be some cool carbon fiber with enough market demand. Peavey bought acoustic composites (rainsong competitor) and could figure out how to deliver carbon to the masses.
