Thanks. Gonna clean the pots & jack plus re string it. I guess flats are the prefered strings for this model? I know that rounds are what I use for my Foundation

IMO, the Sarzo model is one of the best (maybe the best) 4-string basses ever offered by a major manufacturer.

I would put a B Quad 4 up against it or any other 4 string made by anybody, any time.

I have flats on my Fury, but actually prefer rounds on my Partriot. Gives it an aggressive throaty sound.

I started a thread on this but I should have just asked here.

I've got a Peavey Millennium Plus J/J coming via UPS and I'm really excited about it. Here are some pics:

For those of you who have played one of these, would this sound like a Fender active Jazz or more like a "Jazz on Steroids"?

The price was right for what it was. Don't remember the shipping charge.

I don't know if anyone saw the B-Ninety "kit" on epay that was refinished black and silver texture for $100 w/shipping. I received it today. The guy packed it really well and sent all the parts. The J bridge pu and tone control didn't work out of the box. Somebody missed a ground and with the addition of a one inch piece of wire it all works. Truss rod appears to work, too. I've wanted a Peavey PJ for a while but haven't found one at the right price (for me). The PUs are passive and I think they're EMGs since there was an active PU version. I'll get it together in the next week or so and may build a DynaBass pre with concentric pots for it. Probably string it BEAD. Refinish may be in the future but it may grow on me.

I have a '94 exactly like that. Picked it up off CL a few years ago for $60 with a gig bag. I love it. Been my #1 ever since. At first I was leery of the painted fretboard but have come to love it.

Seller was hedging on shipping that bass. He had a shipping estimate appear on his auction, but threw in a caveat in the item description saying seller would have to pay for the box and other related charges. That would probably be why bidding stalled at $45. Either way, he had a reserve on it, so it's unknown what his expectations were, price wise.

Ok Peavey gurus please help solve a mystery. I recently sold 2 Gbasses, one here locally to fellow forumite kmon and he told me that it only has one battery. Wouldn't that make it a 9 volt pre? I thought they were 18 volt? Both the Gbasses were stock. I opened my GV and it has 2. The online manual says 18 volt also. What's the. Deal?

There should be two 9-v batteries in a G-bass. Unless someone changed the stock preamp.
