U.S. Peavey Club

In my experience, the imported instruments are really really good. Peavey makes sure they leave the factory with good hardware and great fret jobs. I have a super cheap imported Strat-type guitar that's really a great player. Never had to touch the frets on it.

I have an Indonesian-made Cirrus 5 that is amazing. It's 80% the bass that a US Cirrus is. But I've played Chinese-made Peavey's that - though they were good for the money - were only ok.

There are enough good ones that people shouldn't just write the imports off without trying them out.

So I mentioned earlier in the thread when I finally got around to posting my T-20 that I had ordered a US Fury. Turns out the bass gods had other plans for me. GC shipped me a seriously beat BXP Millenium, and fast forward through 2 days of talking to GC in Colorado, and 3 more days of waiting, UPS picked up the BXP and as soon as that makes its way back to Colorado, They will ship my Fury. Someone please tell me this bass will be worth if after 3 weeks of trouble plus however long it takes for the @#$% thing to get here after they finally ship it.

Added another family member! Found a great deal on this Cirrus, then when I went to buy it, found it also came with the HSC, which wasn't listed! Super stoked to get this and see what all the fuss is about!

The Cirrus came today! For the price, i was expecting something less than perfect, but this thing is in awesome shape! Gonna intonate it tomorrow and likely gig it tomorrow night. Super stoked!
