U.S. Peavey Club

I know the T-45's are getting harder to find, so I thought I'd post a link to the CL ad where the real US Peavey nuts hang out. Basically, I'm out of work going on 7 months - some things have to go.
I'll get another when stuff straightens out.

I noticed the body is different on the late 80's Foundation S vs. my 85 Foundation.

I've been searching for a lighter Foundation (8 lbs would be nice).

My 85 Foundation with solid 2 piece maple neck is so FAT sounding.

I just installed Fender 9050CL stainless flats and with the wide strap my 85 Foundation weighs just a hair over 9 lbs.

Aaaaaand now I really need to buy a Patriot. I saw one posted on CL here a few months back for $100 and I missed out on it. It (understandably) went fast!

Just put a set of old GHS Precision flats on my Patriot, good, but...missing something. I've always liked Precision flats, but they tend to become kind of hollow sounding after breaking in. I want to retain as much of the mids as I can as thats such a huge part of the Patriot's punch. I do like them better than Chromes as I feel they have a fuller warmer tone and Chromes retain too much treble clack.

I haven't played Rotosounds in a while, I just remember them sounding great for a month or two, then becoming almost completely lifeless dead thud.

Suggestions? (Other than TI Flats those things are obscenely expensive)

So, partially inspired by this patriot review, I decided to showcase my Foundation's tone with this bass rendition of Alice in Chains' Rotten Apple.

Done in Garage Band on my iPhone via Line6 MobileIn unit. Pickups 50/50, tone 100%. Please excuse my less-than-tight playing and enjoy what I think is pretty good tone :)

Yeah, I want to put flats as soon as possible, I think it will tame the beast little bit and give me focused sound. ;)

The above is living proof of how long Fender 9050CL flats last. They haven't been available in nearly a year, having been discontinued by Fender. I am now buying Fender 9050ML or 9050L depending on instrument. And yes, these can be had on eBay and elsewhere often for $20.00-25.00 shipped on eBay and elsewhere. Highly recommended! I've got Fender flats on ALL my vintage Peaveys!

What's a fair price for an all original Peavey Sarzo? The original model not the Cirrus, red, case, COA, excellent condition...

I'm letting a bunch of my basses go. While I absolutely love this bass, it's just not getting the playing time that some of my others are getting. I'd rather it go to someone who wants to play it rather than sit in my closet.

Oh man, I have one of these - it may be the last bass I let go as I'm also thinning out the gear.
I don't know the street value, but I traded a US Millennium 4 for it, and in my opinion it's a major upgrade.
When I was looking for one, I saw one listed on eBay for $880 and it was not in great condition

Lol but seriously, I would say 550 to 650, if with case and in ex+ condition
