Can anyone comment on the general differences in neck profiles of *5 string* versions of Millenniums vs Cirrus vs GV? I've loved both Cirruses that I've owned, but am feeling drawn to a Millennium or GV for some reason....
Oh, and are all 3 the 35" scale?
(Yes, I know I can't spell "Millennium" right... sorry)
I'm bummed. I found one.... ONE..... Axcelerator 5 in a nationwide search of CL. (Yes GC used area has 2 but they're both black... I'm shallow... sue me.) But its in Mobile Alabama and I'm not. The guy can't ship it, and also probably didn't want to break up the package with a big old peavey head and an 8x10 which I certainly don't need. So I'm bummed.
PS, NicJimBass, I've never played a US Mill, but to me the Cirrus 5 feels pretty thin in the center of the neck, but kind of thicker at the edges as compared to my Mill BXP, and also the Axcelerator 5 I borrowed from Steve.

Thanks bigtruck. Gotta be a 5 string for me, so the last one won't work. The one on JLAforums also showed up in the nationwide craigslist search, and I looked at it yesterday there I think. But today the link is dead. Maybe I'll sign up for JLAforums so I can respond to the guy.
These basses are truly top notch and a dream to play.
...and a truer statement has never been said.....typed/posted? Here's my "evil twin" version of yours with it's siblings and little cousins. Gigged it tonight and got comps on the sound, as always.

What's the control layout on the TL-5 with the T-40 pickups, what kind of sounds do you get out of it, and what do you usually use it for?

Now if I could just get my hands on a Foundation.

I find it ironic that you find a fairly rare Peavey then lament about finding, possibly, one of the most common Peavey's I've seen! hahaha! Nice score, btw!!
Y
Yeah...I know
I love the palaedium. Just recently
got it and it's now one of my favorite basses out of the dozen I own. Plays like buttah!
But I have also heard a lot of love for the foundation. And going by a few of the vids I have seen posted about them, I'm really impressed.
I remember going to a Jeff Berlin/Peavey clinic and at the end getting to play Jeffs personal bass (of course after washing my hands! ) I still remember to this day how easily that thing played. Enjoy yours.Y
