Well the Fury is a really great USA made P-bass, but its still a P-bass. The Patriot is a bit more unique, it depends on what you want.
The Patriot generally cuts through more, tone-wise, but the Fury is pure P.

I was interested in the Patriot because of the Super Ferrites as I've yet to play a Peavey with them fitted.
Having problems justifying the cost, I don't mind the $160 for the bass but the $160 shipping and taxes
have me digging my heels in.
Maybe I'll just wait on one hitting the UK market,there's really no need to be rushing these things.

Might be a ton but chances are I'll end up paying it.
In the scale of things it's not too bad, if I was a Fender man WOW would I be getting stung.

£1522 in the UK. That's $2472 for the same bass.
Answer would be to buy direct from GC, only GC can't sell new Fenders overseas nor can Sam Ash,
Sweetwater or MF.

I'm actually building a problem bass now with a loaded mim body I got here for 115 and and a maple neck off eBay. Waiting for them to get here
Good thing is your Unity is a beauty and the price was great.
You should have no problem moving it on and it'll easy finance the new project.

Just remember that Fury have the J bass neck so they aren't a true P copy at all......I have to say the feel of my 87 Fury is just outstanding.
Anyone who loves Peavey basses and needs a P bass sound should own a Fury, especially the 80's ones....then you can install any P pickup.
There are plenty of buying opportunities for Super Ferrite Peavey basses imo.......they continue to fly under the radar and trust me, I live smack in the middle of Peavey country USA!!

I've put some feelers out here in the UK so I'll just sit tight for a while and hope something turns up.
I keep running hot and cold regarding importing from the US. Don't mind the shipping costs but I pay
enough in taxes as it is so that extra 20% of the total sticks in my craw.

Bit the bullet. There's a Patriot on it's way from Stillwater, Minnesota to Scotland.
So in about 3 weeks it should be here but I'm keeping the Fury option open,there's
a guy in England makes pups that I fancy trying.

Found out Nashville Pussy are playing in Glasgow next month then scored a loaded Zodiac DE body.
Whip the neck off my Zodiac EX and it's good to go.

10 lbs of Peavey goodness. Has plenty bumps and scratches as a bass that's been played for years should. Absolutely killer
sound. Came with the action a mile high due to a bow in the neck so I've got it tuned BEAD to lessen the tension as it settles
to the different climate here. 5000 miles this baby traveled to get here, bubble-wrapped in a cardboard box.
I'm a very happy Scotsman.

I finally got my fretless Foundation together after a few years of putting it off. But here she is next to my Patriot and ready to rock.
