I'm just curious to see what folks are using. I went with flatwound chrome on mine.

Ah, I thought you were trying to help me deal with the bridge better, and I couldn't figure out how different strings would make a difference.... Haha... Sorry.

I thought about going with chromes. Maybe I'll change later... I definitely like them.

Maybe if the individual saddle components didn't have the ability to slide side to side when tension is off the strings.... It needs a set screw to lock each one down.... Does anyone know if there's a drop in replacement that doesn't need new holes drilled in the body?

I haven't seen a bridge yet that doesn't have a means to keep the saddles fixed in place once the spacing is adjusted.

I have that same bass. The early 90's were the best ones IMO.

I mainly gig a pair of 95 and 94 5 string foundations. Black with maple necks. Love them things.

I am playing my 1990's black Foundation "as we speak".

I think the Peavey SUPER FERRITES are near the top of the list of BEST sounding passive bass pickups in history. The growl is PERFECT.

Yeah. They sound great! I actually have a pair in really nice condition that are waiting to be installed in a Franken-bass when I find the right parts.
