Took me awhile to get the T-40 I've been wanting since the first time I tried one out many years ago. But this one's mine.

I better clarify that statement by adding I'm an eejit. A/B'd my Patriot and T-20 just now and was definitely getting
a deeper fuller tone from the Patriot.

Kind of confused me as pickup placement isn't hugely different and both are strung with roundwounds. A closer look
revealed why. The T-20 is set up different , lower action and lighter string gauge. Reckon this accounts for the contrast
I was hearing.

Hope you read this before rushing out and buying a Patriot.:D

G Bass 4 string and G-V's don't have Modulus necks. They don't have Moses necks either.
Got it straight from Peavey and then spoke to the company that made the graphite/carbon composite portion of the necks for Peavey.
I know it's a rumor that has been going on for a long time now but it's not true...no Modulus, no Moses.

I was told that the project manager on the G bass stuff later ended up at modulus. I do know the B-quad necks were made by modulus. The same little bird told me the necks were made "elsewhere" for the first year, then made in house. The elsewhere necks are the clear gelcoat ones, while the black gelcoat ones were made inhouse. This is a black inhouse one.

Almost for the same price,his is $210. Darn shame as he bought it from the USA so got stung for big
shipping and import tax.Then the fretboard started to separate so paid to get that fixed. He's dropped
£100 from his original asking price and still no takers.

2 weeks back a Foundation 5 went for $70 :jawdrop: Tonight it went back on sale for $140 :jawdrop:

Peavey love is at an all time low in the UK ATM :crying:

Wow I think here in the US Peavey prices are going up a little.

So repeating the rumor is not necessary.

B Quad were Modulus necks.
The rest of your supposition about the G-Basses is not correct.
The G Bass necks were made by a non music related company that Hartley Peavey contracted to build them.
They made both the clear-coat ones and the black ones.
I got this first from a Peavey employee.
I then followed up with the company that made them, I spoke to a person who has worked at the contracted company for 25 years and she told me this directly (not a little birdy)...which would explain why the G Bass necks don't look like the Modulus necks on the B Quad and also why the clear-coat and the black ones are exactly the same except for color.
The Pau Ferro fretboards, frets, inlays, nut, tuners and the rest of the bass were done by Peavey employees.
