If anyone is in San Diego and looking for a RJ IV, I found this one. [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
I was down in San Diego on vacation and happened to check craigslist. I tried very hard to buy it but the seller wasn't very cooperative and stopped responding to my texts. I actually contacted him using my brothers phone, pretending to be someone else (hey, I was desperate!) to see if he'd respond there and he did but he was just as rude there. If someone can work out a deal with the guy it would be a great price for what looks like a pristine RJ IV.

I am looking for a good set of low tension nickel round wounds for my two Millennium 4 bangers. I have been using Cirrus strings which I love the sound of, but I have never been completely happy with the feel. Anybody got some recommendations?

If you want great-sounding, very low tension nickel rounds, then the TI jazz rounds are the ticket. I've got them on two Ibanez Musician basses and they sound terrific. They're expensive and they feel even softer than the TI jazz flats but they seem to have an indefinite lifetime (at least for me, but then my hands don't sweat).

@Groovybanana
I spotted that RJ-IV in San Diego too. I couldn't think of anybody in the area to ask so had to pass it up.
Then I got lucky 2 days later :D

Yeah that RJ has been listed for months

I've been using Cobalt Slinky's on mine recently and very pleased with the sound and feel. I don't know what they would be considered for tension, but I'm pretty happy.

I picked up a brown(mahogany?) patriot bass a couple of months ago. What would you guys suggest I wipe the body down with to bring some life back to the color a bit and condition to wood? It looks pretty dry. It has the best neck of any "fender" style bass I've ever played. Thin, fast, smooth, and I got the action nice a low! My thumb bass has been getting neglected...
