I just looked at that blue "Patriot", and it looks like a Patriot neck on an Axcelerator body.
It should still be a great bass in a fantastic color.
Yeah, an Axcelerator with a better neck!

Sweet collection! I'm not a usually a fan of black or white basses, but I've always liked the looks of the black painted necks. And, the cream Fury and mahogany Patriot look sooooo good.
Since you have so many to compare, do you feel like the painted neck makes any difference in tone.
And, how is the tone of the Patriot different from the Furies?
The blackout Fury neck feels and sounds exactly like a regular maple neck/fretboard because essentially it is.
A lacquered maple neck is the same as a painted and lacquered maple neck.
I liked the cream Fury with the single ply black pickguard as well, but I wanted to steal that pickguard for the blackout Fury.
I had a never used white/black/white pickguard that would go on the cream Fury so I put it on to see if it would look okay and it does!
It did make the body look more aged and yellow next to that bright white guard.
I like how the white guard makes the body look, my adult son does not like the color next to to the white guard, he says it makes the body look the color of "ivory" electrical outlet/switch covers, which are always ugly, ...I disagree.
The Patriot...I like the look of the natural mahogany body and it's not heavy, the whole bass feels nice to touch and I like it even better with the black hardware.
The Patriot sounds close to the front pickup soloed on a Foundation, but not exactly the same.
The position of that single pickup is a little bit more towards the bridge than the front pup on a Foundation, and it sounds that way, not like a bridge pup position but not the same as the front pup on the Foundation either.
The Patriot has the Super Ferrite unique sound that is definitely different from a split P pickup on the Fury.
The split P Fury basses sound exactly like a Precision Bass, which is a good thing if you like the sound of Fender Precisions, and most of us do.
People always say the two Super Ferrite Foundation basses sound like a Jazz bass on steroids, which I guess is a good description, a ballsy more aggressive clanky thunder, less polite and not a Jaco jazzy sound at all.
People who like the sound of a Thunderbird will likely also like the sound of the Patriot, it's not the same but the same kind of aggression when the tone knob is wide open.
