Hey all, I came across this and thought it would be worth sharing with the vintage Peavey bass enthusiasts. I have an identical bass so it really jumped out at me in the opening shot. Check out more from their bandcamp site if you dig it, sure sounds like the old Peavey is holding up pretty well.
That is a wonderful understated finish.

Awesome! More pics when it comes in would be cool. I think they may have used that color on some Patriots. I've seen some Dynas in an electric blue that also looks pretty rad. I'm still holding out hope that one day someone will let go of their purple Forum Ax or Forum 5. Those seem to be even more rare. I wanted a purple Peavey so bad I made my own.

Same one. As I'm one of the few Peavey People in Scotland I gotta roam all over to get my Peavey fix
While I was taking pictures of the neck of my Foundation I thought I'd take some pictures, of the control cavity because I wanted to ask another question. As the Foundation reached the 90's did they still use the same pots & caps/hardware as they did in the 80's, or did they use cheaper parts to keep prices lower and be able to compete against other manufactures?
If so would changing the pots & jack and cap for CTS, switchcraft, & whoever makes a decent cap, would this make a 90's Foundation closer to the early 80's version.

In my opinion it's not worth it. I've CTS pots that crackle and CTS pots that don't,by co-incidence I've mega cheap pots that crackle and plenty that don't
I've had wore out Switchcraft sockets and some still going 
£30 odd for pots and a socket ? No thanks.

If they're not acting up, I wouldn't replace them - I haven't had to replace the pots in any of the US Peaveys I've owned - and there have been a few of them...
Currently have 5 US PEaveys, 1 Indonesian Peavey and a US peavey AMp---- (thats a LOT of pots) none are bad and TMK all are original (dating back to '79 on the T-40) .....bomb proof
I guess if these have worked properly for the past 25 years, then there's no reason why they wont work for another 25 years
