Ugh!!
I bought that Axcelerator-6 on 3-Jan, and it still has no delivery date. I've checked of every box on the USPS site for delivery updates, but haven't received one yet. Their site shows it "delayed" and now in the neighborhood of Philly (for the past few days). Seller hasn't received any updates either, and probably couldn't care less.
Oh well, plenty of other Peavey basses to play - just wanted to rant (tired of pressing "refresh" on the USPS tracker, and getting disappointed).
This is a real-world problem, people!! OK, maybe not.

I feel for you. I recently went through that with an amp I bought but it did arrive okay. I once bought a Roscoe 6 string and the seller shipped it through USPS. It took 6 weeks to arrive! Hope your bass makes it soon and that you love it as much as I love mine. The Axcelerator 6 is a fantastic bass for the money.

I don't have experience with the GHS flats, but heard good things. I do like Chromes, however.
You don't need extra length for the through body in my experiences.

I've got these on all of my T40s and T45s. Nothing else has ever felt so good. Performance, Value, Durability....what's not to like?

I found another custom 2006 Cirrus 5, and it seems to be another one-of-a-kind like my previous one (that one had the quilt/flame redwood top). This one seems to have more of the tone woods I like, as in a figured walnut top, not sure of the body wood, and what looks to be a mahogany and purpleheart neck. It's also got factory (what seem to be) Hipshot tuners AND bridge, along with the Milly pre.

Stay tuned....

Everybody Cirrus USA owner I know of in Europe owns a supposedly "rare" bolt on model !!

Up until yesterday I was only one with neck thru models :( Solved that problem :D Sweet bass that's suffering from fret spout, I've Rhino hide instead of skin on my hands so don't notice it ;)

Best choice may be La Bella Deep Talkin Flats with the thru body option. The T40 has very sharp bends at the bridge tough on the E string for regular flats. And the La Bellas sound great on a T40!

My post won’t be as exciting some, but my new rig includes a teal striped Peavey Basic 60. It’s replacing my Rumble 25 which has some electronic issues. I like it. It’s more of a loud, clear, clean tone than the pretty bedroom tone my Rumble had, but it’ll do just fine for practice and maybe more.

GHS flats on the 40 ? It's a great idea :) Only trouble I had was feeding the strings through the ferrules :laugh: Much as I love that big hunk of metal the T40 bridge can be a PIA,nobody else bother machining angled slots so why did Peavey.

That was my first time playing GHS precision flats, over here it makes no difference what brand you buy they all cost the same. Why buy £37 GHS when I can buy £37 TI jazz flats, I love TI flats so it's always been a no-brainer :D

T40 responds very well to the GHS so @kkaarrll get them on your 40 :thumbsup:
