Cleaned the frets up, still more work to do but I installed a spare set of string I had. I think I may go for light gauge on this bass. Truss is holding very well.
Other than the individual bridge pieces being a bit crooked on that Kahler, that thing is pristine and VERY drool worthy.
That's nothing, need to adjust the intonation anyway. Yeah he took very good care of it. Will look almost new when I get the new hardware in.
To the best of my recollection, this is where the factory was putting a ton of effort into high end and signature models.
The TL is kind of an offshoot of Foundation/Dyna era.
If memory serves correctly TL (Tim Landers) shifted his endorsement at this time.
Effort is correct, this bass is almost flawless. The sound coming from the instrument is almost perfect. I keep playing it then playing my Fodera, Benavente and Acacia. My ears and fingers aren't lying to me. It's that good.

I have two mid 80s Foundations and a B Ninety, all black. I have seen one white lefty 80s Foundation, but otherwise I don't know what other USA Peavey models were available lefty, and what colours or options would have been available. Any that you guys know of could you list them here? Thanks in advance.
For you Koa dreamers.....this guy has dropped the price significantly on this 4 string Dyna. If I hadn't just put a deposit on a Bruce Johnson AMB-2 scroll bass I would be on it.

Hi PV fans. I just added a G-V to my stable of Peaveys. Does anyone have a PDF of the owners manual? I found the G-Bass (4 string) manual at Peavey.com, but there isn't one there for the G-V (5 string), which is a substantially different instrument. Thanks!
So at one point I decided I was going to collect all the TL6 colors made and got to 6 but never imagined there was a Koa one! That thing is awesome! The only other TL6 I saw that I didn’t have was white so if my math is correct they made 8 different finishes. Gratuitous picture follows!
