Just make it clear to the buyer about what you did, so that somebody who knows what they're doing doesn't accidentally wreck the nut by using the tool they're supposed to use.

At this point, we've decided to replace the neck. He's continuing to remove the fingerboard out of curiosity. I'll be searching for parts when I return from the beach.
Before trying the drill, I’m going to cut the brush off the end of my electric toothbrush and jam the stem into the insert cavity. Maybe a few hours of vibration will break it free. It’s a long shot, but maybe if the CFO from Undercover Boss did the gluing, it will just pop out.
I've just checked it Cliff, it's a 10mm . Go careful,I'd start with a 9.5mm drill then clean up with the 10mm.
If you want to it looking like before,i.e with a new plastic insert, do an eBay search for "guitar truss rod tube" . They come in 40mm lengths,just cut to size.
A really nice looking USA Millennium 4 is on GC's website. Mislabeled as a BXP. Decent price at $449. I'd jump on it if it was a 5.

I’m going to dremel a 5mm hex wrench to see if I can fabricate a gripper tool to back out the nut. If it works, I’ll drill out the insert, lubricate and replace nut, cut and fit truss rod tube, re-string, set-up and play.
Maybe I should buy that Millennium at the GC. It has the wheel.
This one is late 90s early 00s. One piece neck. Any Peavey 1.5 but that fits the pocket.

You think? I'm not 100% certain of what wood it is. Didn't Peavey produce basses with standard woods with a brownish tint/finish?
It IS 100% mohagony.
Yup, I have a 1987 Patriot (different headstock script interestingly) and it is definitely solid 3 piece mahogany.
The Wood Database shows African, Cuban, Honduran, Mexican, Mountain, Philippine, Santos and Swamp Mahogany woods.
Honduran Mahogany is referred to as "Genuine Mahogany".
I have a mahogany Precision Bass Body that I'm cleaning up right now, it's gonna get a Player Series Jazz neck and the Mahogany looks more typical to what my minds eye sees as "standard" mahogany but that could easily be the finish.
My mahogany Patriot looks a lot like Jeff's and Tom's.
