Indeed, tales me back to a few years touring UK and Europe in style, before getting rather harshly booted & screwed (once again). Luckily I had a return ticket to the States or who knows what might have happened.

Hey guys, I'm (back) in the US-made Peavey club! I had a Millennium Plus a few years ago, but I was going through some rough financial times and had to sell it (to another club member, Tom McClintock). I reached out to him not too long ago to see about buying it back, but he said that he's still perfectly happy with it (unfortunately); however, he linked me a used Millennium on the Guitar Center website in Gold Sparkle. I was worried that the color would be too gaudy, but I decided to give it a try. So, $450 later, I have a new (to me) Millennium! Unfortunately there are some issues with the frets (looks like it was halfway through a fret job when it was sold), but my luthier said that fixing it would be $150 well-spent. At this point it's not giving me issues, so he said to wait until it became a problem before I do anything with it. It even came with the original hard case and a set of Peavey strings!

Do we do numbers here?

I have been back tracking on Basses lately. Before I got so much into Jazz Basses, I mainly played basses with soap bar pickups and big Music Man style humbuckers. I picked up an old USA SUB Sterling a couple weeks ago through a few dollars and trading my Sire V7. Yesterday, I got back my Forum V that I sold to a pawnshop. Seriously, I should have never let this bass go. It has modern active tone for days. It sounds perfect in church.

So... I found a really nice condition set of T40 Toaster pickups on ebay and ordered them up. Will remove the neck Super Ferrite and will install the other Toaster in my T45/Foundation/T42.5/Frankenbass. I have plenty of Super Ferrite equipped basses, this will now be my dual Toaster bass. My plan is to rout out the extra space towards the bridge pickup, set it up to split towards the bridge and then have the inner coils active in split mode.

Decided, why not? Let's have a dual Toaster bass! Seems the Toaster weighs 5 ounces more than a Super Ferrite, so the bass will now be about 9 pounds, 11 ounces. Still much lighter than most T40s.
I'm really looking forward to the the dual Toaster Foundation. I really like the current Toaster tone on the bridge pickup and I really like the blade T pickup in the P sweet spot on my T45 clone. What will be interesting will be the inside-coils-active-when-split tone. The active coils in single mode will be 29" & 31" from the nut. A typical Stingray pickup has it's coils at 30 1/16" and 31", so I'm hoping that this split tone will have a quasi, passive Stingray tonality. I know it will have a little more phasing honk/scoop vs a Stingray pickup since the coils are further apart.
It's all about placing unique pickups in unique spots so there is minimal overlap with my other basses.

I have been attempting to reduce my collection of basses. I sold my lovely Cirrus flame maple 5 string but bought another Millennium 5 Plus and now have a trade in the works that will bring me another blue generation 2 TL5. So I end up with the same number of basses. I will, however, be selling two of my "other brand" basses. LOL Some of us are sick puppies.

Funny and Relatable... on the count-reduction quest, I ended up with an additional Millenium Plus 5.

Kind of like my diet to loose 40#... only have 50 to go.
