Well, at least the mystery is solved. Totally agree though, at LEAST use your own photos. Also, at least he's in reality and not asking $499. Doesn't seem worth the trouble though for what he's asking.

I like how we are like a team of Peavey detectives ! :)

Couldn't have netted more than a $50 profit considering the shipping cost. Considering what it originally sold for, I don't understand the thought process.

If the seller had rescued and restored the bass -- I'd understand the logic. Don't follow how the price becomes $100 over what GC charged when they probably paid $90 to take inventory of it.

It could be that he wasn’t familiar with the bass he bought and didn’t like it.

That isn't it, because he is always selling Peavey basses and touts them as being undervalued. He buys them to flip them, which is fine, but I'd rather purchase from someone who isn't snatching these up just to flip them. I've interacted with him in the past about a couple of his posts. One time he had a bass up for sale and the photos were from 14 months earlier (because the time stamp was there in the corner). I personally won't buy anything from him.
He currently has two other basses now for sale and sometimes he has 4-5 postings for a bass.

That Patriot looks nice enough. If he truly did all that disassembly, cleaning, fret polishing and setup... his price is fair.
