Unwatchable movies

Judy Moody and the Bummer Summer. Worst. Movie. Ever. I was dragged into it because I didn't have my ID to see Bridesmaids. Which is the funniest movie ever.

Punch Drunk Love .. I've tried 3 times because my brother LOVES that damn suck fest. I can't do it. I'd rather smash my testicles flat with a mallet than try to watch that again.
Another "winner" he has pointed me to was
Super Troopers. Gah! Only one laugh out loud scene in it ( with a follow up scene .. meow.. and Chicken Effer!
It's odd because we usually dig the same movies, often ones that others hate like Hudson Hawk, for instance.
I know a few actors have been mentioned as being of the "anything they are in is usually the suck" variety. I'll throw Jeff Bridges in there. I can't stand him. Watching him talk is PAINFUL! He talks like he's chewing grass.
Nick Cage is ALMOST there for me. 90% of what he's done I dislike, but the ones I like are just BETTER because it was him. Kick Ass would be one of the great ones. Peggy Sue Got Married would be the ultimate suck.

While I do enjoy other Tarantino films - if I'm suffering from insomnia I just put in Pulp Fiction. That movie, for me, is a total snooze fest.

Anything with Jar-Jar Binks. The Ewoks were one thing but he/it was just beyond annoying...

What? I LOVE Napoleon Dynamite. When my teenage daughter mouths off, I make her sit and watch it with me.
heh. I like a lot of the common movies here. back before I had kids I'd always ensure I'd see movies that people kept blasting as awful. Often I'd find the hate misguided or I'd find they'd watched a comedy expecting a serious movie.
as for the list -
GI Joe was awful. I actually couldn't finish that one.
Transformers was awful.. why is it all action sequences in movies are required to have a cut made every 0.001 seconds? Or they do that unsaturated drop frame thing that Speilberg used a bit in saving private ryan (maybe that was just the first movie I'd noticed that effect in and since then it is everywhere). BRING BACK THE LONG SHOT!!

ooh, paranormal activity. This was an interesting experience. I was about 20 minutes in and about to shut it off when I say "bah, this movies has 10 more minutes" when suddenly my brain shut off. I proceeded to ENJOY the rest of the movie. Then it ended and my brain turned back on and said "Huh. Wow. That was a rather awful movie. Yet I enjoyed it while it happened.. that was odd... lets go get some more beer"

It's some terrible surfer movie that came out when I was in HS, and it is the only movie I have ever walked out on. I can usually find something of value in most movies to at least keep me in the theater, but there was literally no redeeming factor in this movie.

Perhaps I was not trying to be funny? I wasnt. Its a well known quote that was relevant to the discussion, that taste, especially in movies, is subjective, so I can sit here and say Lethal Weapon is the most unwatchable film of all time, and I would be right, if that opinion were applicable to me.
It was certainly not meant as an example of the films humor.
So take youre Scorcese loving opinions elsewhere, dude.

I'm not going to see that. I really REALLY liked the books as a kid. After Dune ripped my book to screen dreams apart I refuse.
