Urgent: TalkBass Mobile App Terminating

TB is mostly responsive and doesn't need a mobile app. With a few CSS tweaks it would be perfect. Whomever handles that for TB can PM me and I can help.

Yeah, I used to use the app all the time. But the old one. Then they shut it down. Forced me to use the online "app". Got used to it, ended up liking it even more. Then y'all got that newer app and I rarely use it.

We just got a notice from our mobile app developer that he's pulling the plug on the servers the app needs to operate. The TB app may work for a few more days, then it will be non-operational.

We will look for a replacement, and also we will work on making a new style that's even more mobile-friendly in your mobile browser.

TB is proof that a browser can work fine for this, even on small screens. Other so-called “mobile enhanced” forums are a nightmare to work with on a phone.

I’ve always used the excellent mobile site. Seriously, the mobile site is better than 90% of other mobile websites. The only thing an app could add would be push notifications but honestly email notices do just fine for me.

I have always found the Android app UI a bit irritating (which didn't stop me from grudgingly using it) . Gonna try the mobile site...

I will work on a push notification service for our website so you can get push alerts on mobile without an app.

This is all I wanted, and was the reason why I missed the old Tapatalk TB app, although I completely understand why we moved away from from that company.

It's usable through the browser but I wouldn't say it works "great". As somebody mentioned already, a "responsive" version of the forum would be great as opposed to two separate website/mobile app developments.

The mobile webpage was much better than the app. The app was always hard to casually browse the site.

I only had the app on my phone to receive notifications, but would check them on the webpage.

I only visit this site via my Galaxy Note or ipod Touch.
Never had any problems doing anything.
Never thought about the app.

I use TB a lot in my phone, via Chrome. Works perfectly.

Ya, me, too. I was starting to think I was the only app fan! Understand the problem, though. No worries, though, TB- take all the time needed to sort it out and I'll use my browser until the app recovers in whatever form it takes...

I have an LG G5, used the app a few times, find the browser version to be much better anyway.

Glad to hear the site works well for people on mobile; I just recently switched from Android to IOS and have only been doing TB on the mobile app since then (when not on my laptop). The app was alright, but I'll try it in browser now too.

I prefer the browser on iOS.
