Let's try one more price drop - from $2299 to $2150 shipped. And let's take another gander to remember what we're talking about:

Somebody asked for a clip of my Warwick by itself (i.e. not in a band setting), so I had a bunch of fun today getting my recording setup going. I'm almost there in terms of producing an adequate quality of clip - this one needs to be a bit louder overall, but I haven't figure out how to make that happen yet... just turn your speakers up (if you can stand it).

The setup was: Warwick Thumb NT 5 -> Alembic F1X preamp -> Boss BR-600 Recorder

So without further ado, here's a quick little ditty with two tracks of me on this fine, fine bass :)

Brian asked to hear the different Z Modes, so I whipped this up today. This was recorded in real time, and the only changes I made on the fly were flips of the Z-Mode switch. Both pickups wide open; bass, lo-mid, and hi-mid all slightly boosted; treble flat.

There are 6 bits with drums on this clip.
1) Finger Style Mid Z
2) Finger Style Low Z
3) Finger Style High Z
4) Slap Mid Z
5) Slap Low Z
6) Slap High Z

And then here are the same bits minus the drums.

I still haven't conquered my low volume recording problem. If I crank it up any more, it's all distortion... sorry about that, I'm sure I just have a setting wrong somewhere on the BR-600. For now, please just turn your speakers up...
