<insert bad REO Speedwagon song here> "Heard it from a friend who...."........heard it from Larry Hartke........:eyebrow:

Anyone else hear/know/can dispel this?????

If this is true......could I be the one who broke the news on TB!?!?!???!!;)

Again, just a rumor and posting to see if anyone else has heard this.

He should use whatever sounds best to him, if that's Hartke, then it's Hartke. He's been playing all sorts of different cabinets lately, though I do find it funny that when he was using Bergs they got all sorts of praise on here, but once he uses Hartke there's a shocked response.

Maybe, just maybe he's listening with his ears instead of his eyes.

On a few of the times Victor played out here, he played through my old Hartke rig that I sold to the sound company. I know it's because it was part of the supplied back-line, but he still sounded great, and I was close enough to hear his stage sound.

Why do you give these people legendary status?
Victor is being the most he can be being Victor Wooten. When you are being all you can be then you will be the most amazing thing we've ever seen but it will be you and Victor will be Victor.
Unless he has a non de plume he is probably playing his bass instead of typing here. Hear?
Yes that's to me too.:)
Less ebay more Mel Bay.:)

why do we give them legendary status.?
because we can, because we're people we TEND to do that. Heck he even does it for larry graham all those greats.
Its natural.

As for mel bay. haha
No money for ebay AND i just finished polyurathaning my fretboard (thread and pics coming soon look for it in luthiers section :P) Don't wnat to start playing for a couple of days.

I find it so funny that everyone is hanging on the edge of thier seats to find out what rig Victor is going to settle on. No doubt, many will run out and purchase the same rigs within weeks in the hopes of getting that "Victor Sound". Folks, I hate to tell you this, but Victor is going to sound awesome through just about anything he touches. He could pick up a beat up, old $100 Fender knockoff with three dead strings, played through a Crate practice amp, and I gaurantee that you would all be blown away by the sound. Personally, I'm not a big Ampeg fan, yet everytime I see Victor I am amazed at his tone. I doubt many here could pick up his bass, plug into his rig and have it sound anything like Victor. So, let's just enjoy the man and his music and stop worrying about whether or not he is going to pick your favorite amp as his own.
By the way....my money's on Aguilar! :D

I do dig seeing and trying what my favourite players play, not so that I can sound like them but to see and hear if I can maybe see what they see in the product.

has helped a few times and definitely not helped the other times.
