Victor Wooten now using D'Addario Strings

-1,
That is a very easy thing to say about someone, whom is not here to speak on his own behalf.........Using the term "industry Whore" totally invalidated your opine for me...

Victor Wooten is an industry whore who will say/play anything for a dollar. From power cords that improve his tone, to battery readers that let him know when his batteries are gonna die, to Hartke amps, the man has proven his integrity is non-existent when it comes to promoting anything. What he uses means nothing and he markets these products for profit using his image to imply that the buyer will be a better player for buying it.

thats when i started hating them haha. went dead. no bueno.

Hey, it happens. I've been using D'Addarios for years and there has been a time or two where it seems like a set (or strings) has died way sooner than they should. I just changed strings on two of my basses and I was surprised at how much life was left on the old strings when I listened to the new set. On my Cirrus I think it has been at least 6 months, if not more. But play whatever makes you happy and works for you!

Word. That's the kind of stuff that rankles my shorts. Every time someone switches their endorsements, someone on here calls them an "industry whore," and it's so obnoxious and jealous and says way more about the person doing the name calling than the person doing the endorsements.

OK, so I was disappointed in Vic for doing signature $150 power cables, but as I've discovered, there are many people who really do think they work, and if Vic believes in the product, then I can't fault him for dishonesty...only the (IMHO) charlatan who runs the company. But to fault him for going with D'addario and Hartke? That's a load of crap. Just because you may not like them doesn't mean that everybody should dislike them. What are you? 11? Grow the hell up, people.

It's not "Word up to your mother." It's either "Word up" or "Word to your mother." Combining the two is a major faux pax in 90's hip hop circles.
