Vigier Club! And not a big one at that. We must be exclusive. I bought my Vigier Passion IV 5-string in 2017. It's a 2015 model year, and my daily driver. I was searching for a great sounding bass, moving from a very old 1982 Ibanez Roadster 4 string to a Schecter Studio 5 fretless (for about a year) and then to the Vigier. I bought it sight unseen (Well, I saw the pics, but never played one) through Reverb, from a guitar shop in Paris, France. That was not an easy process! It got stuck in Louisville, KY at U S Customs for about 6 weeks.
I fell in love with the depth of the sound, lows to highs after watching videos of Ivan Rougny and Pascal Mulot. I've tried many different strings, but pretty much settled on DRs, currently using Lo-Riders.
I'm starting to have some fret buzzing on the E-string, looks like frets are worn, so I need to sort that out. Any suggestions? Local repair shop, or any recommended places? (I'm in the Midwest.)

It's to be expected here.
Most brands knock out more instruments in a month, for some a week, than Patrice and his team build in a year.
Pair those relatively small production numbers with the fact few travel over the Atlantic and you wind up with just a handful of Vigiers among the mostly North American TB membership.
Totally different story in Europe but on TB you can count yourself as one of the enlightened handful
My new to me Passion IV will ship tomorrow. I am really looking forward to getting it. I am a diehard Modulus player for the last 25 years and I am stoked to receive my Vigier.
Just wanting to connect with Vigier peoples. My new to me bass is being delivered tomorrow and it will go from the box to a 3 hour band practice!!! Going to really give it a workout.
Well I just received my bass... Unfortunately, the previous owner has had round wound strings on the fretless bass, so that will have to be addressed. The frequency knob doesn't seem to do much of anything. I tried with all the switches in all different positions and the freq pot doesn't change the tone at all. So I am wondering if something might up with that part of the electronics? Pic's tomorrow
Ok. So I am officially hooked. A couple of things. Does anyone know the radius of a 100% graphite/phenolic board? Second, were any 5 string basses made with the 100% carbon fiber neck?... I am not unleashed an on the hunt
I got my very first Vigier these days. Its a Passion II with a carbon neck. It plays just fantastic with a very smooth neck and just 7.7lbs. The sound is typical for this type of bass - modern, enormous attack and endless sustain without any dead spots. Its quite in the range of a Status Series II. Vintage purists won‘t be happy, but lovers of modern sounds will do.
