Congratulations dude. I was watching that bass too. I almost bid on it but the same guy had a '79 Stingray that I bid on (and won! yea!). Much rather have a worn one like that than a pristine collector's item. I traded a pristine '71 (on sale on TB right now BTW) but it just didn't have any mojo for me. Looked like it was brand new.

That's a beauty....good score! I had the opportunity to buy one just like that about 5 yrs ago for $1000 and didn't do it....major regret
Yeah I almost bought the one below, but I am glad a paid the extra 200$ for a cleaner, more original bass and a way lighter one.
This one just has to much abuse on the headstock for me and the neck looks way grubby. The reason i really wanted the one i got was i was told it weighed in at 7 1/2 pounds , it was 100% original and the neck was pretty clean.
