Va Beach, here! Don't know 'bout you guys but TalkBass has been theee best find ever. Glad to connect with you all. I take off for Peru tomorrow - going to play bass on the Amazon!!!
One of my band mates just got back from a trip to Peru. He came back with a nasty bug called dingy fever. Look out for mosquitoes!
Hey guys, if you're local, I have an opportunity for you to get into an established band - mine.

It's true. Born in Philadelphia; came down to Richmond for school in '92 and never left.
Live in Kempsville (close to Pat Robertson's kingdom on Indian River Road) - work in Suffolk. Drove through the storm that spawned those recent tornados. Crazy stuff, there's a family that goes to my church ... nothing left but the foundation.
Okay, I'll bite....what happened? Why the vacancy?

Yeah, I'm just not "feeling it" any more. They're great guys, but I need to be in a band that allows me more input and less workhorse.
You don't miss the hoagies? Or the pretzels or the bread or the pizza or the water ice?
I miss them every day, but I console myself with sweet tea and barbecue.

Me either. I think Virginia is a breeding ground (or a magnet) for bass players. I'm originally from New York.Hadnt checked in on this thread for a while. Man, I had no idea there were so many "active" bassist in the Commonwealth.
