Virginia Bassists

Live in Kempsville (close to Pat Robertson's kingdom on Indian River Road) - work in Suffolk. Drove through the storm that spawned those recent tornados. Crazy stuff, there's a family that goes to my church ... nothing left but the foundation.

One of my band mates just got back from a trip to Peru. He came back with a nasty bug called dingy fever. Look out for mosquitoes!

We don't have dingy fever but we do have the Great Dismal Swamp so we know a little bit about mosquitoes.

As a kid, I caught the Kneasles. Its like the measles but only affects your legs. That's nothing...my dad suffers from Tolio.

My mother in-law lives in Kempsville, just down the street from Pat's Place and my sister-in-law lives in one of the neighborhoods hit in Suffolk.

Her street was on the front page of all the papers and CNN for about two days. The news cycle has moved on, but I know they're still really struggling down there.

We all need to remember that those families still need help.

Oh, they're definitely not a project band. We've gigged (not as much as I'd like) and rehearsed (fairly regularly) and recorded, the whole deal.

You ever been in a band that you thought would be great, and denied the personality conflicts and disgruntlement for the sake of the music? I just gotta face the fact that I just don't groove to the music anymore. We're just from different planets, musically, and I thought I could deal with it, but not anymore. It's really not their "fault" - it's just that we don't click.

Something doesnt figure though. THeres an abundance of bassist here but yet, Craigslist Virginia is always looking for bass players.

Is it that.....Virginia bassist dont play in bands?

(btw, if anyone visits the UBP site forum as well, you'll notice, theres a Virginia bassist thread there too. THere is somethying truly strange about this state. No other state, other than Colorado, has its own thread over there.

What do we have the other 49 states dont?
