Seriously, is there something wrong with us posting gigs here? Seems like letting my fellow VA bassists know where they can come hear me and vice versa is a good thing. Mods?
After a LONG layoff(1983 - 2003), I started playing again and played my first bar gig on 20+ years!!! It was an awesome experience and I am looking to play more!
I got to use my Sadowsky NYC Modern 4 and my mew MarkBass 2x10 Combo! Awesome sound!

There wasn't enough interest in the June GTG, so we should start talking about good dates for one in August. I have some recent acquisitions to show off, and I'd sure like to meet you all. Still working on a raffle bass - the SX seems kinda lame compared to the big Valenti raffle, but it's my budget.

Oh, FWIW, I've moved and am now in Red Mill Farms, at the intersection/end of London Bridge and General Booth. Got the cops called on me already for noise... :/
In case anyone is in the area. I'll be hanging with some cats at Goodfellas (Hampton) tonight playing 3-4 songs at their open mic night. I'll be playing the custom jazz bass I got in a trade with CrashClint.

Thanks, man! It has been a long journey, with a lot of hours spent "in the woodshed"!! 
But, getting to stand in front of a crowd again, having people say "You guys sound good!" and watching drunk people fall all over themselves was WELL WORTH IT!!

Actually, I moved away from the jet noise... I lived in Magic Hollow off Lynnhaven before I noved, and I could see the whites of the pilot's beady little eyes there.

Not really, John - I had a couple of friends over for a beer or two, and we were sitting out in the garage, just playing the acoustic, and the cop walks up... He says, "Is this all you're doing?" I confirmed, and he said, "Well, I know it's stupid, but I got a noise complaint, so can you take it inside?"
I didn't argue. But it's stupid.
