Dude acts as though being a female Canadian bassist makes it obvious who he's after. Not to me. Is there only one famous female Canadian bass player?

I live in Montreal and we have a relatively famous female bass player from here, Melissa Auf der Maur, who played with Hole and Smashing Pumpkins, that I know of. I'm sure there are many others, but she may be one of the most well-known.

Either way, that is pretty creepy!

There's someone on my local CL who keeps posting about wanting to produce other musicians. But he always manages to put the word FREE and the word LOVE in the subject line of his post, and a rather flattering picture of himself in the body of the post.

Then he includes information about how he can help musicians with production.

I swear this guy is looking for a hookup, but also maybe wants to produce some music, too. Just weird.

Or maybe he just wants to produce children who turn out to be musicians.

Mental health is a serious issue. This person probably needs psychiatric help, but that is out of reach for many due to $$. Ironically, if he lived in Canada the public healthcare system would pay for it.

The referral waiting time for psychiatry in Canada is 2-3 years. That is 2-3 years before you get an appointment to be assessed. After that, there is a wait time for treatment which varies by the treatment. The only fast psychiatric referral in Canada is for the criminally insane because involuntary commitment is only 72 hours.

Wow. I've seen her play. Ages ago, in Boston. I was not a Hole fan, but briefly dated a woman who was. Meat Puppets opened, and I preferred them.

OT: I LOVE the Meat Puppets. To think that they toured with Black Flag and The Minutemen for a time in the '80s is so wild to me.
