That falls into the category technique, when you consider how each individual articulates,

But what draws us to basses like wal or Alembics or Fodera is playability balance and tone, not too mention craftsmanship. The reason I love Wal is the tone of the instruments( combination of wood, electronics, and pickups) that is what is creating tone. Your hands are merely manipulating that tone.

I think the warwick jack bruce has some kind of recriprocal cross pollination resemblance going on.... :)

I know Jack used to play Gibson basses..... the original Wals were admittedly influenced by a merging of Fender and Gibson influences, so I think that's where they come together. I definitely like the look of the Warwick Jack Bruce.

I also just got my order from Electric Wood. Gold screws and pole pieces. Along with frets for the Olive girl and a nice Wal T-shirt.

initially i was going to replace ALL of the gold hardware (including tuners) but it was going to be about $860.00 plus shipping and duty if any.

yea was surprised as well on length of pole pieces (1 1/8")

So i only ordered the screws needed.
-4 neck plate screws
-all pole pieces
-all pup mounting and adj screws
-all cavity cover screws

The one nice thing about the tuners is they are just regular off the shelf Schallers you can buy anywhere like ebay/Allparts for ~80-120 or so. I had to do two sets of my chromes due to flaking on the gears.
My old violet MkI, the original gold was suprisingly very good on everything except one neck bolt. The tuners were actually still nice.
