Interesting, both olivewood and olive ash though different species, look nearly identical and are from the same family of tree.

I'm still fairly ignorant in the world of Wals, and I'm not looking to disparage your choices, but these are very special basses, to think you dropped that kind of money on a unique Mk2 without doing any research, let alone know the difference between only 3 model types (all of which are described and photographed on Wal's website) is somewhat disconcerting.
But he hit a homerun the 1st time!
