Second, anyone ever converted a Wal fretless to a fretted?
Thanks for the reply. I'm on the buddies for sale in the UK. The fretless is a beauty. I assume your fretboard was and is ebony. How did that work out. What is the tonal quality of a fretted bass with an ebony board? Who did you fret work?Couple for sale over in England currently.
Lots have been converted both ways. I did one of mine to fretted.

First: The one in the middle is totally killer. Love that top. (is that the "doorstep" wal?)
Second (and off topic): Nice Mesa 2x12 cab... which one is it? Rectifier (Compact)? Road King? I'm currently looking to find a cab to match my '93 Dual Rectifier for recording purposes.
