Just sent the money for my first Mk3! I've been looking for one since Mike let me play his, this one really got my attention because I love ebony fingerboards. Do you guys know exactly what "narrow neck" means, is it Jazz width?

And now the Mk3 5 string arrived today. Paul really knocked it out of the park: birdseye maple, violet gloss, 10.00 lbs.

Well, yesterday we recorded some tracks (bass, rhythm guitars and drums) at a pro studio. Took my 1986 MK I (thanks Mike !!!) for some tracks and ended up using it all the time.
Was looking for a BSSM like tone to cut thru some distorted Les Paul / JCM 900 sound.
Connected the bass into an Aguilar TH 500 --> Bergantino CN 212 --> old Pultec PEQ IA
Result: Pure magic !!
The tone I had in my head since late 80´s / early 90´s
Will post some results once we get a raw mix.

If someone has broken schallers tuners (B, E, A) that has the older black schaller inserts:
