Yea, Andrew is missed here for sure. I helped his brother and his good friend set some pricing on Andrews gear when they sold that stuff after he had passed. Dave and Don are very nice guys and i was more than happy to help them.
I was very fortunate enough to purchase Andrews Black MKI poly, his Beechwood MKIII and his TC Electronic Blacksmith amp. I remember when we left Ottawa there was a bad snow storm. It took forever to get back to the Toronto area. Crazy

I'm sure he'd be happy knowing his gear went to a good home. He also had a fretless Wal, I wonder what happened to it?

He also had a fantastic Warwick streamer that he wouldn't part with (dang!) but I did get a very nice Warwick Infinity from him.

Many's a happy hour spent removing silks with a razor blade or pinching strings with pliers. Also, don't pull the string through there bridge, always hook in the ball end and then rotate the string into place.

My Mk3 5-string arrived today. Sweet bass! That said, I have a couple of question for you Wal-nuts.

1. The bass arrived in a Gator case (actually pretty nice though a bit too large) with no tools. I lucked out and already had a 1/16 hex wrench here so I was able to adjust the action (it was crazy high). The neck is a little bowed so I'll need to adjust the truss rod. Anyone know what size wrench I'll need?
2. What should I use to clean a bass with a shedua top? I know better than to use guitar polish. I have a can of Warwick wax here. Would that work?
3. I can't remove the battery from the connector! This is a bit embarrassing but I don't want to break anything. The battery that's in there still works, but I always like to install a new battery when I receive a used bass. Any ideas?
4. The tuners are pretty scuffed up so I may pick up a new set. Anyone know the make/model? They're black and chrome (see pics below). I think Wal only uses Hipshot Ultralite tuners for the Mk3s but this bass was made in 2000 so who knows?
5. The knobs are pretty beat up as well. I'm guessing I'd have to order new ones from Wal if I want to keep them stock (which I do).

1. can't remember the exact size since I'm not home

2. any guitar cleaner polish should do. you can use the warwick beeswax but you would still need to wipe the body first before applying the wax.

3. battery clip is just a clip....just keep at it and be careful not to force out anything.

4. yes, you need to get hipshot ultralites....keep in mind though I don't think you'll find a set of aftermarket ones like that.....mix of black and chrome.

5. getting a new set of knobs is pretty costly :greedy:
