Wal Bass Club.

I can second that and introduce my 2015 Wal MK2....this one is NOT for sale or trade...I repeat...NOT for sale or trade...

I remember seeing that top before it was built. No less scary naked!

A HISTORY OF WAL BASSES: Wal Woods Part 2 - Bodies

Only because I'm a feeling a little greedy at the moment....and possibly seeking a little more variety in basses I currently own....I have three (3) Wal 5's in my possession at the moment. All are MK2's. I really do like the MK2 body design the best. Had quite a bit of bad luck with MK3's and I have a feeling I'm not supposed to own one of those, but I did have one that was amazing. MK1's don't really appeal to me.

Anyway, I may possibly consider offering one of my Wal MK2 5's for trade.
I'm more looking for a fretless Wal 5, but may also consider a fretted or possibly fretless MK2 4.
Also, I may be up for an off-brand swap from a short list of brands: Alleva Coppolo, Fodera, maybe F-Bass....but regardless of what it would it is.....it's got to be something extra special. Anyway, if you want more details....Start a conversation with me!

My 5 string MK2s...

If my memory serves me correct, you had told me that "4 string fretted MKII Wals are just not for me"
Havent you owned like 2 or 3 at one point to come to this conclusion?

Actually, I’ve owned only one 4 string MK2 which was formerly yours. Haven’t owned one before or one after. Had a couple opportunities to get one, but they never came to fruition. I will admit I did generally prefer 5s when I made that comment but now I’m interested in both 4 and 5 strings.

I will keep my ear out. Any preferrance on facings?

Thanks man! I appreciate it.
I don’t really have a preference on tops or even if it’s Poly or not. More interested in the MK2 4, maybe an MK3 with a preference for a newer build or late 80s or 90s.

I know it’s tough to find trades nowadays. I might have to just buy one instead. I’ve got a Sadowsky NYC Will Lee 4 I’m trying to sell or trade in the TB Classifieds too. I go back and forth on offering my Alleva Coppolo KBP4 Pbass which is a Jimmy’s 16th bass he built in NYC in 2004. But that’s trade or sale bait too! LOL.

For all of you into your Wal trivia, I was just going through some old stuff and came across this. Given to me by Ian when I had the fingerboard of my old Pro1 redressed and 'activated' back in September '87...

...and the reverse, with walking directions to Ian's flat in Shepherd's Bush for dropping off and picking up, and home phone in case I got lost...

We should campaign to get a blue plaque put on it by English Heritage!
