Warm sounding class d head?

Class-d is warmer because it doesn't radiate it out as heat.

You can be cranking a class-d walk over to it, put your hand on it, and it's barely warm.
The reason why is they've been engineered to not waste the warmth. They save and funnel all that warmth through to the speaker.

It should probably be asked why other amps waste all that warmth by getting hot.

;)

Not really---

The type of amp (class d, class AB, etc.) has absolutely nothing to do with the tonal balance. There are warm sounding class d amps as well as dry sounding ones. It all depends on the preamp and amp design.

I haven't read the thread---am I missing something here?

Oh---he was joking! Sorry---I'm used to Seamonkey trolling any threads where my cabs are mentioned and slamming me. I wasn't aware he has a sense of humor!
