warmoth short scale bass..?

Any chance of a 5 string offering in the future?

Probably not in the near term. These are just getting off the ground. We'll have to see how well these fare first.

We do have shortscale G4, singlecut G4 and Z Bass bodies available though. Personally, I think the singlecut is absolutely killer!

Dan, we've only had these formally available a few weeks now. It may be a bit before we see many completed builds. FYI, If anyone is in the Puyallup, WA area and wants to try one out some evening or weekend, PM me and we'll see what can be arranged.

I was wondering the same thing. There are so many things id like to see but everytime i ask its "no". lol

Sorry, no singlecut Gecko. I've often contemplated it though. We'd need to come up with an easy to engineer and build bolt on neck and that could be a challenge with the single cut.

Here are a couple more shots that may interest you. Sorry, both a lame cell phone camera shots. One is a prototype short scale G4 (32" neck mounted) and the other is the singlecut.

Wyliee: Do you have a picture of the G4 Shorty with a neck attached? I'm curious as to what fret the strap button lines up with. That bass has my name all over it. Do you know when the G4 Shorty might show up in the showcase?

Look at the picture I posted earlier for a G4 with neck. (Or do you mean G4 singlecut?)

I believe we have a couple G4 shortscales in the shop, but they're not in the Showcase yet. No official dates yet. We've been busy with several major projects!

BTW, thanks to wyliee and the whole Warmoth crew - I've been waiting a LONG time for shortscale! Keep it going on!

This may be a dumb question, but will the routing on these bodies accept "regular", CTS sized pots? I've had issues in a number of SS bodies with this.
