Warrior's new and awesome Bella '62

So you've bought a bunch and paid a lot of money, so you're sensitive to criticism of them. Lol.

I don't need to play any to say the company has a sleazy vibe. I didn't comment on the basses themselves. I have no interest in them.

Not at all, I understand that like anything you buy some won't like as good as others. There's not a brand out there that you couldn't find someone say something negative about. Most times the negative reviews are always louder and more vocal than the positive. I try to always base my analysis for first hand experiences. I've owned alot of high end bass gear and nothing has beat what the Warriors give me.

Strange. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to the way the ferrules are set up. One looks like a washer jammed into a somewhat questionable cutout. Also, while it appears to be a tapered string, the taper is sitting behind the saddle.

I don't get all this grousing about the partial string-thru setup. You see three holes - the first is for the straplock. The other two are for the B and E strings. The ferrule for the E string is recessed, so that both the B and E ferrules are the same distance from the bridge. And if you're all worked up about taper-core strings, then just top-load it.

This is not actually true. I have multiple without string through I also have one where just the 4th string is through body



It's not actually Spam. TB seems to big in the Jazz bass market, mainly Fenders and the like so I figured why not show that other brands can make wonderful jazz basses as well and even better

I'm not worked up about it. The builder himself posted a bass for sale that is using a taper core string whose taper is behind the saddle, meaning the thicker wraps are sitting on the saddle...probably because of it having too far a distance from it as a result of the location of the ferrule. I'm just pointing out something that seems obvious and not quite right, not to mention the crude route around the washer-like ferrule the low E is strung through. The fact that this was overlooked by the builder makes me wonder what else might have been overlooked. Also, why the mismatched string set?

Really? Sure, there is alot of talk about Fender but I don't think this forum lacks diversity in instrument choices at all. There is tons of discussion regarding alternate brands from budget to boutique.

I agree. I have seen many other pictures of crude workmanship on Warriors.

Don't know. It seems like a funny angle that could promote string twist the way it curves like that. The only Warrior I ever played was at a Sam Ash in Richmond VA and it had that hole for the low B. It was probably the least impressive boutique basses I've ever put my hands on...a bit lacking in some of the finer attention to detail you'll usually see at this price point.

Mine has it and I've strung it both was. I can't tell the difference but I will say, mine is AWESOME!! Plays and sounds fantastic and the neck is a incredible.

Cool bass but man is that part of the market getting crowded as of late.... Brubaker, Spector, Roscoe, Warrior and so many others entering the active Jazz market.

I've owned 6 warriors and all have been amazing basses in every way. They are 100% handmade works of art that take and play with the lowest setups you will ever find. All aspects of my builds have top notch. These are the last few I've purchased in the last year.

They're gorgeous but why do you keep selling them? Keep 'em all!!!

Never cared for the look of partially rotted wood. Even healthy figured wood needs to have a certain amount of symmetry when book matched if it's going to blow my dress up. About the only exception is big bubble quilt.

All have been amazing basses but I have tried many different woods, finishes and preamps and decided to get my dream build that would have all the options, finish, and electronics that I would want. There hasn't been a one that I wouldn't have loved to keep for life if finances would have allowed and me be able to afford my dream build.

So you've not played one. Yeah it's fair to pass judgment without actually owning or atleast playing one. We know all things are absolutely truth on the internet lol.

People do that all the time...I lose count on how many times someone says "bass X is a better version of a Fender Jazz" and most haven't played a Professional Series, Elite Series or a Custom Shop bass...ever...at the end of the day , all it is is someone's opinion...

Very nice. I think they build these right up the road from me in Chattanooga right? One question now though I wonder what "certified by Warrior" means. That's an odd thing to say, are these built by someone else now?

They are built in Rossville, GA but yes like 10 minutes from Chattanooga. As far as certified goes I think it just means it's been inspected by owner and has passed QC. They are still built in US, just was there not too long ago.

Warrior as a company just has too much of a sleazy vibe.

From first hand experience being on their website, from reading countless things online (and not just talkbass), from watching videos on youtube, etc.

I said the same thing, not that we're sleazy but I didn't really like their basses just because of what others said, my buddy had one, I played it and loved it and now have multiple as well and have one built.

I personally don't think they are sleazy and in fact if you met them you'd agree, very nice people.

I'm not saying it doesn't lack diversity because that would be untrue, I was stating that there are more people into Fenders then other brands here it seems. For instance, just from me browsing classifieds, I could be wrong as well but Fenders sell quicker than other brands which makes me think that. Again I could be completely wrong and if so then I retract my statement and apologize.
