Washburn Club Thread

I've got an SB-40, well I think they're called SB-40. It seems to very rare, since there's almost no info the net, and I've asked in the Washburn forums, and even they didn't know what it was until one guy said it was an SB-40. It's basically a hybrid of the Force-series (body), and the Wing-series (headstock). And yes, it is in fact TalkBass that is being showed on my computer screen in the pic, and I have a custom Dimebag Darrell mousepad ;)

THAT'S MY F### BASS THAT I WAAAANNNNTTT:bawl:
I had one a very long time ago and traded it for my Hondo Longhorn. In 1983 to be exact. I still have my Longhorn, wish I could find the SB-40..

Haha :D Yeah it's a nice bass, I really enjoy playing it. I think I'm going to have it re-fretted some day (I don't trust myself enough to do it just yet). Good luck in your search, I hope you find one :D

Right on, other Washburn owners! Mine is an early 90's, USA Custom shop XB series. Bart soapbars, and a really weird transparent rose colour...sort of looks like the guts of a watermelon.
Awesome sounding bass, but since I bought it used, the electronics have issues. You don't dare adjust any of them on stage, unless you want to deafen the audience with dirty pots.
Anyway, the bass is built like a tank, and sounds awesome.
I should try and put up some pics...

What are peoples' opinions on the T-25? I'm looking into buying a quality but cheap 5-string and am already a fan of Washburn's Bantam series quality. Was wondering if the T-25 is worth the $900AUD? Or am I better off aiming towards a Schecter or a cheap Ibanez?

I've got a Washburn Force 4 that I picked up 2nd hand. Nice bass! Seems like a Washburn signature with fret buzz and neck problems. It's got ABT electronics in it which I'm thinking about changing. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Any idea on club numbers at this point?

I just bought a T14 (nice wood/laquer finish) and I love it. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to upgrade the pickups (possibly the bridge & tuners....?)
Will the sound improve enough to justify the money spent?
Will it raise the resale value much?

I have foregone all my 4 strings for the Taurus T25. Switched from GK to Ampeg SVT-CL and 410 HLF cab, and now I am God of Thunder. I love the T25. Using stock pups but a Badass V bridge. Very happy with it.

Hi! this is my main bass: Washburn T25.

The action is great, very thight, the Grover tuners and bridge are awesome, it stays in tune about 1 week after playing it every day! and the bridge it's really good, gives me a lot of sustain.

The pickups are OK, better than Fender's stock or something like that, but alone there are a bit noissy... maybe i'd get some Basslines from SD some day...

Before buying it i tried a Fender, and old japanese Squier, Fernades Gravity.... but the Washburn suited me better!

I've got a Washburn XB125 - fretless!

It was my first bass, coz I came from double bass and thought fretless would be easier - which, it is kinda - but I now have a fretted bass too!!!

It has a lovely sound, and everyone who has heard it have been blown out of the water - even at the recording studio. It has a lovely sound - especially when the price is considered.

When (if) numbers are ever given out, would be nice to have one!
