We got bumped for.....Pitbull?

I'm gonna stick up for OP here.

He gets booked by a decent guy into a great club at a great time. However, the owner messes up, and the audience is not there to support the decision he's made. therefore, one would have a right to have a go at him. As for the jamming, I'd have said yes, just 'cus I love any chance to play Sabbath...

But in regards to the weed/booze thing, I doubt that that was what made the evening such a trainwreck. Last time I checked, weed and booze makes anything and everything acceptable...

That said, booing the Bells is a bit far. Maybe mention it afterwards, but praps not during the show.

I thought the story was great. I could imagine Peter Sellers playing the lead role in the eponymous movie.
I could even excuse the booing. Sounds like it was incontinent in nature, an inadvertent reaction to a travesty. Something you couldn't help, like farting during a sneeze.

Eagerly awaiting the sequel.

Pfffffffft.

sorry, but my story about my metal band in the 80's is better. we spent 4 hours setting up our ridiculously big pa and lighting in this club for a week stint, start our soundcheck, then the manager of the club informs us that the bar was just sold and was shutting down immediately. so we spent another 2 or 3 hours tearing down. the next day we went to try to talk to someone about getting paid (yeah, right! hey, we were kids...what did we know?), and there were all these really effeminate construction guys working on it. turns out the new owners turned it into a gay bar!

and we had nary a joint and no money to buy any beer. so my story clearly had the higher level of bad stuff happen, it was funnier, shorter, and didn't set a bad example for the kids.
